I love Storm King Sculpture Park, it is as surreal as it is visually stunning. It puts art into a pure, elevated and energizing environment, while inviting a sense of the unpredictable and otherworldly.
I have found that getting my three year old to embrace vegetables has borne an uncannily similar experience to strolling the Storm King Sculpture Park. At first encounter, there was wonder and embracing of the new with an adventurous spirit. But as soon as I think we were going to turn a corner or emerge from the woods with confident approval, we instead encountered dischord and paradox. Fortunately, unvanquished, we march on and discover harmony and beauty once again, repeating the never ending cycle.
