From SLATE Magazine: Striking Designs from the World’s Typewriter Artists

This came through in my daily browsing of favorite, Slate Magazine, who have been slightly ahead of the curve on some interesting design and typography pieces lately (they ran the Gov’t typeface vs. Garamond story a week before ilovetypography.com, though admittedly, ilovetypography.com had the fuller story).

Barrie Tullett’s book, Typewriter Art: A Modern Anthology  will be published next month. According to Slate writer Kristen Hohenadel, Tullet is a graphic designer and senior lecturer in graphic design at the Lincoln School of Art and Design in the UK. Tullet’s book explores some exquisite images created exclusively with manual typewriters. Impressive.

The images in the article are not quite the resolution needed for really close inspection and appreciation, but they are big enough to whet your appetite for adding the book to your Amazon pre-order list…I ordered mine already!
