…and Willy Wonka’s chocolate Hudson River was the class winner. Not my first choice, and possibly one of the more difficult photos I chose to composite into the Hyper Realism assignment, but that’ll be the challenge. The first step is to compensate for the lack of a striking foreground, middle ground and background. While there is depth in the photo, the closest elements are not that close at all, which leaves the background microscopic when it comes time to composite new elements into the frame…yikes!
I think what will help determine how and where to place elements in the photo is to find a similar view without so much foliage – so I can get a sense where the ground is and where elements can be placed in the frame. Luckily, I came across this shot which I think will help quite a bit.
